So what is it all about?

It’s about developing a residual income in a home based business that allows us the freedom to choose how we want to live our lives and under what circumstances. Things don’t cost too much, we just don’t make enough money and therefore we need to create some sort of solid home based business. So back to the primary question – what is it all about?

What is holding you back from working at home for yourself? Having your spouse stay home with you? That new vehicle or vacation you have been dreaming about? Building a residual income in a home based business will always take time and patience no matter what anyone tells you. When someone pitches you a deal about making 10k a month in less than 6 months, then they are lying to you. There are exceptions, but I really don’t want people to put their future of developing a residual income for a home based business on the exceptions, but rather what the average person can do with a proper coach to assist them step by step.

You see, this network marketing home based business is generally a simple business, but certainly not easy. Hey, if it was so easy, then everyone would build a home business. The reality is it is long hours over a long period of time. Based on numerous articles that I have read and the various leaders that I have listened to, I am more convinced today, that one of the primary reasons people fail at developing a residual income in a home based business is because they don’t have the right coach or mentor to show you how to build a solid home business.

Moving on and getting back to our primary question of what is it all about?

Money!

A friend of mine once said that having an abundance of money has shown him that with many problems, not all, but many, if you throw money at them they go away. LOL – seriously there is much truth in that because in reality money is a big part of everyone’s life. That’s why it’s so important to build a sustainable residual income in a home based business. It’s even more important in today’s world with the economic slowdown that one truly needs to explore alternatives of developing a residual income. Many of you have probably seen the movie “The Perfect Storm” – the economic problems today are the perfect storm and I believe it will get far worse before it gets better.

It is so important that all of us start seriously considering where will you be and what do you want your life to become in the next 3, 5, or 7 years from today. Being out of debt relieves a lot of stress. Housekeepers provide more free time. A regular vacation keeps us energized. Unforeseen bills like car repairs cause no grief. That’s why I have a home based business and why I’m building a residual income – freedom and choices.

An abundance of money!

How much is that? That depends on us doesn’t it? I know some people that never have enough and I have some friend’s that have plenty but still not enough. In conversations with people over the years, I have found that the average person feels comfortable with 10-15K a month for a residual income. Properly managed, that amount in a home based business can provide a wonderful life. More is available to those that want it and are willing to put a serious amount of work and dedication into their home based business.

Impossible? – not at all. Break it down into smaller steps. In most programs today, if you recruit 2 to 3 serious Business Builders and support them, you can be fairly sure this will happen. Let’s say to find 3 one would need to recruit a total of 50 people in a worse case scenario. Daunting task if you have had problems recruiting 2 or 3 so far. However, it happens all the time so it must be possible. Remember, building a long term residual income in a home based business takes time and effort – without those elements and a good coach to guide you; it will be extremely difficult, if not impossible.

Let’s say one had to present our program to 500 people in order to recruit 50 to get those 3 people with the desire to change their life. Now, using the system that we are of shaking hands online and speaking with people on the phone and doing the follow ups with like-minded people, how many people would we need to speak with in order to actually show our program to 500? (The fortune is in the follow up, remember that!) Let’s say 750, no let’s say 1000. Speak with 1000, follow up with 750, over time present the opportunity to 500, recruit 50 to get 3 serious builders. Are you ready to quit yet? Many will…

How bad do you want the freedom and choices? How much is it worth to build a 10k per month residual income in a home based business? In some people their nature dictates quit now so they don’t fail. Speak to one person per day and this is a 4 year plan, 2 per day and it’s a 2 year plan. Most want it NOW, today. Most aren’t willing to pay the price for success, and freedom.Many people don’t have a burning desire to be free.What many fail to realize is as they begin it’s much harder to do build a home based business and a residual income. In time, yes after some failure, it get’s easier, a lot easier. The first 5 recruits are much harder than the next 25. It only makes sense. For example, the space shuttle utilizes most of its fuel in the first 1 – 2 minutes to reach orbit. Just like starting a home based business, most of your energy will be invested in building a solid foundation to have a long term residual income.People go to University for years to learn their trade. Network Marketers seem to believe that a lifetime of freedom shouldn’t require as much effort. I think that is because of all the get-rich-quick stories that abound. Whatever, the facts are the facts. Check out what other leaders have done to be successful. All you need to do is Google them.How bad do you want freedom? What is driving you, inspiration or desperation? Some folks just sit until their situation gets so tough that desperation takes over and drives them through the barriers to develop a residual income and create a successful home based business. Other’s see the potential and realize that 2-4 years of steady work will be rewarded with an incredible lifestyle.I prefer to focus on that first $500.00 per month as I know it is the hardest part. Learn how to inspire, encourage and coach people to $500.00 a month by doing it yourself and you are half way home! Is finding and speaking with 1000 people worth the effort? Only you can answer that for yourself. I have never met anybody who has done it that regretted it. That first $500 per month makes all the difference for most people in a home based business.

Using the Power of one, being a friend to one person a day, in a worse case scenario, it will take just 48 months to become free. Where were you 4 years ago? For many, if they are honest with themselves, they would say in exactly the same place they are now.
