Have you ever struggled with developing a home based business? I’m sure if you have been involved in a home business, you know the answer to that question. One reason why people have struggled is that four letter word…fear! What is it that causes so much fear in people? Often this fear is so great that it prevents people from taking that first step and just getting started in a Home Based Business?
Sometimes people just have that fear built into their dna and nothing is going to change it. Most of the time I believe its because people are comfortable with their life and really have no desire to change. Fear on the other hand is our defense mechanism kicking in telling us to be careful. To take that first step one simply has to acknowledge their fears and then deal with each one as they move towards success in operating their home based business. Let me cover two points about fear.
Many time, the first fear involves money. What if the business doesn’t work? I’ll lose my money. Business is all about money. The majority of the time, a business will fail. It’s a fact of life, people sometimes lose money when they start their own business. It would be impossible to list all the reasons why some home based businesses fail, but don’t let investing some money prevent you from starting your own home based business. Most MLM opportunities are only a few hundred dollars to start up and if you can’t risk that much please forget about your own Home Based Business. You need to get past that obstacle and look on the upside of what it will mean for you and your family when you do succeed. Life is about challenges and how we tackle them. I do not know about you, but I really do not want to be full of should haves, could haves or regrets when I’m 65 years. Life is just to short as it is. Take a chance and go for it.
Another reason is fear of failure and are not willing to risk anything to be successful. Forget about the few hundred dollars involved, the fear of failing at something prevents so many people from doing things that they really want to. Perhaps people need to stop looking in the review mirror of life and start focusing on what they can achieve today. Live life each day like its your last day is probably some really good advice. You are just making up a story in your head about why you can’t instead, focus on why you can succeed and get to work.
You need to really think about what you want out of your life. What is it about this fear of failing? Is personal pride stopping you? What will my friends think if I start a home based business and it fails? Will they think I’m stupid? Who cares what other people think. Do what’s right for you and your family. Successful people take charge of their lives and just do it. If you want success in a home based business, then you need to step on the field of life and play the game.
